Teen Pregnancy
			
			
The Teen Pregnancy Task Force is chaired by Vandora Yelverton. The Task Force raises awareness of issues facing today's teens in the community.  They also support the "Choices for Success", Program which address the issue of Teen Pregnancy Prevention in Wayne County.  Vandora is also the program coordinator. Resident Teen Pregnancies (Ages 15-19) per 1,000 Female Population:
North Carolina: From 1992 thru 1996 - (91.3); From 1997 thru 2001 -  (77.5); From 2002 thru 2006 - (62.5); 2007 - (63.0).
Wayne:  From 1992 thru 1996 - (98.7); From 1997 thru 2001 - (94.9); From 2002 thru 2006 - (75.7); 2007 - (79.9).
